Drycell Batteries

The batteries offered here are the ones most likely to be suitable for use in race cars, although there are a lot more in the Odyssey range.

Odyssey batteries are "Drycell"™ batteries and use Absorbed Glass Mat technology and pure lead plates unlike other well known motorsport "Gel Cell" batteries. They give unparalleled, consistent power delivery across the range. Having incredibly low internal resistance means that the Odyssey can be charged quickly from deep discharge and will give better deep-cycle capability than the competition - over 50% better than its best-known rival. Low resistance also means that the Odyssey delivers cranking current like no other. Even the smallest Odyssey can be employed on large engines, and sustained high-power requirements are easily handled without the risk of damage to the battery.

With pulse cranking at 545 Amps this is a mighty little battery weighing in at 5.7Kg suitable for smaller engines.
