Silverstone EXG

There are two harnesses available specifically for the Lotus Elise / Exige. These have been manufactured for
what has a very popular track & road car. It makes sense to have a harness made just for the job and therefore
easy to use and install. The first harness is ideal for both race and track day use and the second is a six point
harness configured especially for use with a race seat and typically for the Elise Trophy Series. Both of these harness
use the Willans aircraft type rotary buckle which is the easiest and smoothest harness buckle available.

These harnesses can still be further customised should the user want a certain adjuster or vehicle anchorage fixings. Check out the Harness Table and harness spec sheet for the various options.

The Willans Silverstone Lotus Exige harness is a 4 point short strap design for use with manufacturer's original equipment. It uses the rotary aircraft type quick release buckle with its positive snap action locking mechanism to contain the 3" shoulder straps and 2" lap straps.

The shoulder straps are 3" wide and use the Willans lightweight alloy adjusters. The shoulder straps are supplied with the wraparound fittings onto the harness bar via the seat apperatures.

The lap straps are 2" wide and use the Willans standard adjuster for length adjustment but are available with the Willans smaller 2" alloy adjuster option. The lap straps are fitted with the swivle tongue vehicle anchorage fittings which can be fitted to the car's original OEM attachments using the Willans' Lotus fitting kit supplied with this harness.

The Willans Harness is a 6 point harness for use with a race seat and especially designed for the Elise Trophy Series. The harness is suitable for both the Elise and Exige and is a derivative of the Silverstone harness.

The shoulder straps are short 3" wide and fix to the harness bar using the wraparound technique. The length of the shoulder strap is adjusted using the Willans 3" alloy adjusters for smooth and slick operation.

The lap straps are 2" wide and are available with a choice of either the Willans standard adjuster for length control or the Willans 2" alloy adjusters. The straps are secured to the car using the snap hook and eye fixing as standard. Alternatively an option is available using the swivle tongue kit dependent on the seat configuration.

The 2" crotch straps come with either the 'V' or 'T' buckle fixings and use two bolt-on anchorage fixings behind the seat.

The harness is supplied with a fixing kit including a spreader plate designed for the purpose.
